Physicians will receive 1.0 hour of AMA Physician Recognition Award category 1 continuing medical education (CME) credit in accordance with the essential areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Ohio Department of Health. The Nationwide Children’s Hospital is accredited by ACCME to provide CME credit for physicians. Provider status expires December 31, 2012.

Nurses will receive 1.25 contact hours of continuing nursing education credit (CNE) through Ohio Department of Health.
The Ohio Department of Health [OH-011-0412] is an approved
provider of CNE by the Ohio Nurses Association [OBN-001-91],
an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider status
expires February 1, 2013.
Requirements for Continuing Medical and Nursing Education Credit
- It is the responsibility of participants to retain documentation verifying participation in CME and CNE activities and to submit copies to their individual licensing boards as required.
- There is no charge to take the course and no charge for CME and CNE credit.
- Approximately 1 month after a participant successfully completes the course, the participant will receive a certificate via e-mail.
