5.5 Examples of Corporate Funding
 Some companies, such as insurance, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or distribution
companies, provide funding for health services, sometimes in specific geographic
areas. Find out which companies fund health activities in your area.
Some examples of companies that provide funding for health services
are as follows:
- Cardinal
Health Foundation supports initiatives that improve the safety and quality
of health care and that promote healthy and livable communities in Central
Ohio, where many Cardinal employees reside.
- National
City responds to local community needs and priorities by each affiliate
bank receiving and acting upon grant requests from organizations located in
its service areas, including Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri,
Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
- Member companies of the American
Dental Trade Association work in partnership with Oral Health
America, a nonprofit public benefit corporation, to sponsor various
national oral health initiatives.
